Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Almost as close as the analogy.

I like the slim burgundy line surrounding the white letters. It has an "old school" feel to it and contrasts nicely with the tan of the coat. Good choice. They probably have that movie on Netflix.

Opting for the sweet and almost-as-light Campagnolo Shamal Ultra for the next wheelset. They're available in two finishes and I've selected their gray "titanium" color to match the clearcoated carbon fiber Parlee frameset.

The Hyperon Ultra wheels are fantastic, sometimes the braking isn't as positive as rubber brakepads against an aluminum surface. I'll continue to have both, but I think aluminum rims are the better choice if riding in events like the Bicycle Tour of Colorado or anyplace else where there are sustained downhills with lots of braking required, possibly in wet conditions. That combination aluminum/carbon fiber hub is fantastic.

I'm also sticking with the full-titanium Campagnolo cassette since it has performed so well. Still deciding between 11-23 or 12-25 for that one. It's essentially a coinflip.
