New ZX3 owners: Pre-install Frame Prep?

Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

New ZX3 owners: Pre-install Frame Prep?

Hey just wondering what kinda frame prep everyone is doing before the install? Anyone going at it on their own or is everyone letting their LBS do all the assembly?

Just got my frame in today and wanted to start assembly but realized I may have to face the headset, plus face and chase the BB (first scratch build).
or is the frame good to go outta the box?

Mine built up fine without any extraneous prep.

First things first: it's an integrated headset, so no facing needed. The headset plops in, no tools necessary.

The bottom bracket is pre-faced from Pedal Force, so it should install fine. Mine did, and it's spinning wonderfully.

So go ahead and build, my good man! It's a lot of fun.

haha, alright I'll take your word on it. Even though the BB doesn't look the most pristine, I don't think I can afford the whole prep anyway

My BB didn't even touch carbon, It just snugged nicely against the AL inserts.
I did use some anti-seize and synthetic lube on the BB. (I'm just paranoid about AL on AL).

No prep required. Mine was perfect out of the box. And, since I used Dura Ace components (which have their threads pre-greased), I didn't even use much assembly grease.

The fit and finish on the Pedal Force frames is first rate. Mine went together like a flash. The frame was straight and true and rode very nicely. Got mine together in a couple of hours the first night I had it.

Both the RS and ZX3 frames that I got from PF did not need anything work done on headset or bb before building up.

Mine was built up by the (ace) mechanic at a LBS.
He (and the owner) both kept on repeating it was a flawless frame. No prep needed at all!

I'd bought some of the components from them and others from PedalForce.
They kept on inquiring about the group buy price and where it came from...
It's a solid, absolutely beautiful frame- too bad pictures don't do it justice.

Btw, the ZX3 replaceable dropouts are exactly the same as those from many Argon 12 bikes.
