Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Sidi Sale at REI

Put this in Racing, too, thought this would also be useful here:

Genius 5 and Dominators, $170. Looks like they currently have decent stock.

I already have Genius 5.5's and this still made my finger itchy. I'm such a cheap deal seeking sucker.

Pcad has ridden 5.5 Genius Carbons for the past two years. My 6.6 upgrades are on order.

Sidis ROCK. Best bike shoes I have ever had by far. The GTX winter shoe is also outstanding.

Darn, I just bought a pair of Zeta Carbon for $100. I would have preferred the clicky thingy and black instead of white, but I can't justify even that good of a deal when I have a brand new pair already. Oh, and it's rare that a Sidi sale has shoes in my size too!

I've read that Sidis run small. I wear a 46 Pearl Izumi. Should I order a 47 or 48 in the Sidis? Maybe both and just return the pair that doesn't fit?

Thanks!

Probikekit has them on sale too: https://www.probikekit.com/display.ph...ART=0&LIMIT=39

*edit* I compared the PI and Sidi size charts and it looks like 47s.

Too bad REI doesn't have the shoes in half size increments.

It says Mega which means wide in Sidi parlance. Something to think about.

Absolutely. I wear a 42 in Pearl Izumi but a 43.5 in Sidi.
