I started to read that this morning. I care so little anymore I could only be bothered to skim the first few paragraphs. The dope fiend re-born has been done to death, thank you.

fugly kits, for sure.
Millar should have kept on denying, made up moronic excuses, started a defense fund, accuse his accusers, write a book, hire Ferrari, blame the French, blame the lab, Dick Pound, etc. This gets much more respect on B F.

im glad somebody is taking a stand.....its a pretty sad state of affairs in professional sports when even professional GOLFERS are coming under scrutiny for taking performance enhancing drugs....i hope slipstream does well.

The guy did his time and he's back. It's over. Is forgiveness in this world so rare?
And, what would happen if we dug into the past of every journalist and close minded person on this website who claims, "He's dead to me" every time someone tests positive? Would we find reasons to black ball you?

As for golf, I just can't see how steroids could actually help a golfer overall (golf is my first love); it may help them hit it longer but it sure can’t help them hit it straighter (270 in the fairway is still better than 320 in the woods). If someone like Tiger or John Daly on steroids can consistently hit the ball 320 in the fairway, I think the credit should go to their talent as a golfers; now I’m not condoning steroid use in golf.

It must be difficult for these guys to compete knowing that so many of the other guys are probably doing steroids. With the sport becoming so big it's good to see that the governing forces are apparently working hard to crack down on steroid use.

I like Millar. He got caught, he served his suspension, he came back to the sport from the perspective of one of the many dopers and he wants to change things. Slipstream is really invested in clean racing, this is not Discovery/US Postal.
What he didn't do is *****-out behind lawyers and make weak excuses only a shoe salesman in Chester could believe.
But he's saying things people don't want to hear.

The Canadian World Snooker Champion, Cliff Thorburn, admitted to beta blocker use. He's one of the few people in world competition to play a perfect snooker game.

Cycling should do away with all this doping stuff and just make drug use legal. I'd love to see the 75mph average time trials, riders tearing apart bike frames and knees on climbs, team cars struggling to keep up with the peleton, little syringes in the food bags, kids fighting over discarded bottles on the side of the road so they can get high on the fumes, riders with more chemicals coursing through their blood than actual blood. Reminds me of the old Saturday Night Live "stereoid Olympics" sketch where the weight lifter tried to dead-lift so much weight he tore his arms clean off at the shoulders. "Oooohh, that's a career ending injury." Just imagine how over the top it would get without riders having to try and skirt under the radar with their drug use.

I enjoyed David Millar's articles on bicycling.com during the last Tour de France. He is a good writer, passionate about his sport and appears to be sincerely repentant about his doping past.

If only every cyclist that got caught did what Millar did, cycling would be standing on more solid ground today. Instead you've got chumps like Tyler, Floyd, Ulrich, Basso, etc., etc., that drag the sport down and hide behind a shadow of doubt. It's because of these wonderful cyclist that great riders and teams will never get sponsors.
You know Tyler has got to be sitting at home talking to his unborn twin wishing he would have admitted guilt from day one. Loser.

Like em or Hate em, Slipstream is the American Team. I for one will watch and wait. I like their roster, mission and passion. I even like the Kits!
As much as I loved the achievements of Disco I was never "certain" of there "abilities". I am hoping Slipstream will affirm my hope in natural cycling.

+1 for Millar and enthusiastic thumbs up for Slipstream. I wouldn't wear the kit personally, but it is eye catching when you see it on the road. And it stands out, which is the point from a sponsor point of view.

Jaksche did it all wrong. He should have done it the Millar way. Then maybe he'd still have teams and fellow cyclists that respect him. Instead he alienates teh cycling community as a whole while trying to make himself look like a savior by ratting out everyone. For what? To get a reduced sentence. Now he wants to get it reduced even more just so he can get a contract for next year to ride the Giro and TdF.
Well, Mr. Jaksche, you need to serve your time like the others and hope they forget how you screwed everyone for your own good. Good luck getting a contract on a ProTour team.
At least Millar took his medicine and served his time. Now he has every right to be vocal on doping. He fell in the trap and he knows the consequences. As a part owner of Slipstream he is in a very good position to help the younger riders realize their potential without selling their soul like he did.
Who better to weed out doping than someone that knows it inside and out. That's why I commend Bjarne as well. At least he is doing something about it and he has the ability to do so with his team.
If Disco had implemented a tough doping stance and program they'd still be the #1 US team. T-mobile is the perfect example of being torn up by doping but taking a stand and being able to keep their main sponsor.
