So...

Say I had a perfect condition golden Colnago that's been babied forever and kept in an office. And I put it on Ebay with a starting bid of $40,000. Would you bid on it?

Totally hypothetical.

Siu Blue Wind 11-23-07 05:57 PM

Nope. That's a fat downpayment on a house.

jkizzle 11-23-07 06:08 PM

no id put a downpayment on a house.

mihlbach 11-23-07 06:28 PM

It all depends on how much you would charge for shipping.

blonduathlongrl 11-23-07 06:33 PM

^^^

wfrogge 11-23-07 06:36 PM

Will you take a check?

cb400bill 11-23-07 06:37 PM

If the frame was made of pure gold and weighed over 4.5 lbs then yes I think it would be a bargain.

Nope, (but good luck).

patentcad 11-23-07 07:53 PM

Why would anyone want a Colnago?

Trevor98 11-23-07 07:55 PM

Absolutely not- what a waste of $40k. As others have noted there are better uses for that money- even if I were Bill Gates, $40k would be better spent on so many other things (cycling vacations?)

Absolutely! Of course I'd want to pay for it with a money order for $84, 365. Then I'd have an agent pick up the bike after you wired the change back to me via Western Union.

neurocycler 11-23-07 08:45 PM

Sorry, I'm only interested in a matching pair...

Quijibo187 11-23-07 09:05 PM

sure, that'd be what.... like $200 canadian? you got a deal.

This should have been the end of the thread.

Psimet2001 11-23-07 09:35 PM

What...is this supposed to be the one that was given to the pope in that picture with Colnago giving it to him?

*insert horrible Pope/catholic joke here*

*allude to church/child abuse scandals here*

*come full cirlce with e-bay slam here*

*insult Colnago and anyone who would like them before ending post here*

CrimsonKarter21 11-24-07 12:00 AM

I'm just asking, calm down. It's not mine.

Dang. You beat me to it.

Gotta love the craigslist scams. Who knew that many people in northern Africa want american bikes/stereo equipment/yard tools/etc.

Our government needs to hide their heads in shame.

Maybe in the dirt, without the bodies.
