Help me identify bottle cage?
Hello-
I'm wondering if anyone can help me identify this bottle cage--specifically who made/makes it, possibly where I can find it: http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2053/...42af923f_m.jpg http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2150/...3b218598_m.jpg It's made out of plastic and has no identifying markings on it, other than "Made in Taiwan", and it's currently mounted on my dad's bike. Any help in identifying its make/model would be muchly appreciated, as I'm looking to replace my aluminum (and thus, black-oxidizing and prone-to-weakening) bottle cages on my Trek 1500. Thanks! |
The make of the bike it came on might be of some help.
Then again it might just be something the bike maker got in a joblot, so you never know. |

Since all you're looking for is cheap plastic cages, just buy them at the LBS or online. I can't see how on earth it would matter about the model really.
Anyway, maybe ask your dad if they came with the bike, did he buy it new? Contact Fuji with the picture? Or the LBS he had the bike outfitted at... |
I've asked my dad and he doesn't know; he bought the bike (with the cage) from an acquaintance (they were friends, I suppose, but they've been out of touch) when his acquaintance moved (It just happened to fit my dad too), so his acquaintance might know, but my dad doesn't keep in touch with him...
I'm looking for this specific model because I like it's shape--plastic is plastic, I know, but none of the other designs appeal to me. |
I prefer my "cheap plastic cage" since it's the only one my Sigg bottle fits in without carving up the aluminum and holds it tight enough to keep it out if traffic.

when you give up looking go get some tacx tao cages and be done with it.
