Am I fred if I wear this and am no better than a cat 2?

Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Man, look at this one; I think it's the gayest looking jersey I've ever seen. Sort of retro-70s-disco-gay:

Meh? It's not a question of if I can climb, but how well. I'm not the least powerful rider.

I live in AZ so there aren't too many places people could challenge me for the jersey, but my city is known for its hills among cyclists. That's why it's called "Fountain Hills."

It is somewhat of a statement - sort of says "bring it". I wouldn't wear it unless I was the fastest climber in the area and was sure I wouldn't run into someone who could climb better. I mean, it is a KotM jersey, so if someone out-climbs you you would be obliged to give it to him. ?

Or I could just say, "Sorry, it's for a different mountain."

Umm, well it's not actually a KOM jersey. It's a silly polka-dotted Grateful Dead jersey. So if some cyclist shows up with a bigger bong you might have to give it up, but hill climbing? Not so much.

About the leisure suit jersey.

Ya, I've got it. If you don't see the humor in it, then you're taking yourself wayyyyyyyy too serious. Trust me, if you're on this forum, you're not good enough to be serious.

Dang, this looks like something the little old men in Florida wear with their white belt and white shoes.

I have a TDF Sprinters jersey and it causes no end of challenges when I wear it. Its my favourite jersey but nowadays I only wear it under other jerseys to keep warm in winter.

I'll take your word that this is the case, but I'd like to know why. Are "serious" cyclists computer illiterate? Too proud to hang out on such a forum? Too poor to afford a computer?

And if he shows up at the hill with a compact bong, you can point and laugh.

What if, say, killing people makes him happy?
