Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

I think it's safe to say that you enjoy the statistical and numerical aspect of cycling more than some others. Not that there's anything wrong with that.

As of tomorrow am, I'll have around 600 miles for November with only 80 of those outside. The rest have been on the trainer.

This is offseason, so it's just some endurance rides and cadence work. February is when the long weeks start.

335 miles.

I'm four miles short of my 2007 goal. I think I'm going to make it.

I'm just a hair under 500.

500 miles = 804.67200 kilometers

After the first week of December I'm off the bike and in the gym for some weights, plyo's, and pilates for the core. We've had a cold snap here and I'd forgotten just how much the cold takes it out of you, so I might be finishing up on the roller.

I think I rode about 40 miles this month.

I'm pretty sure that equals about 3000 km. Top that kilometerage.
