A couple pics from yesterday's Tour of Napa.
My brother's 20 yr. old Rock Lobster. He's funny with that bike - one day I meet him up on some single tracks and he has this thing with knobbies and he's killing it... the next day he's on road tires and still killing it. Steel is real, folks.

I posted a pic of my steel Davidson a while back, here's my other steel.
All original Campy SR pantograph, with Modolo Kronos levers. The rear wheel is missing the original tire, a Clement Criterium Seta, which I have since put back on. The only things that are not original are the chain, the bar tape, the toe clips (I have one original, but the other broke a long time ago, same as what you see though), and the front tire. Otherwise it is exactly like when I came to own it. The tubing is Columbus SL, as every high-end Italian bike of the era was.
I rode it a few times this summer, but the chain was slipping so I went back to the Davidson for my steel rides.

It's hard to get a nicer steel frame than a waterford imho. That is a seriously nice looking bike you have. enjoy.

Hey steel fans.... you might be interested in this, especially if you race and are in or near Columbus, OH. This guy, who works as a mechanic at my LBS, is building steel race bikes & starting a team. Pretty cool, imo... I think the one frame he's built is about 3lbs? Not sure how that compares to your carbon/alum racers, but pretty cool regardless.

I've posted this pic a couple of times, it only gets ridden on special rides.
Colnago Master Olympic.
My training/weekend ride bike, Aussie made McPherson (who made frames for Ken Evans for the Aussies), Columbus Genius tubing, Campy gear, Mavic rims, really nice bike.
My daily commuter, Trek 520, built like a tank!!

Here are some more pictures of the crank set. It is a Campagnolo Super Record 170mm crank, pantographed, drilled, milled and painted by Poretti. The original
standard SR crank that I bought from an ex NYC bike shop owner (whom I purchased the frame and a lot of components from) was defective. He sent this one as
a replacement and said I would be pleasantly surprised!

Ok, here you go: The DeRosa is my main bike, love it.
This old Marinoni, one of his early frames, I raced as a junior.
I built them both from the frame up, built the wheels, faced the BB shell & head tube, everything.
Yes, I still ride tubulars, wouldn't have any other way.

It's great to see some newer steel frames out there, for a while some very light high tech steel was available. I don't seem to see much of it around here.
