Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Thought this bar tape would fit well with your Colnago pic rat fink. Freshly build Rossin with a makeover.

Thank you javal! This was my attempt at turning an Italian race frame into a more practical rando style ride.

My son found this in an alley, semi buried along with a bunch of other junk. Looked like someone was cleaning out their garage. It was in pretty rough shape, but a few spare parts here & there, very few new parts, a lot of elbow grease (along with Phil Wood grease!), I ended up with a nice commuter/tourer:

1990 Trek 790. Lugged True Temper steel frame & fork. Drive side chain stay has a small dent on the underside, but I cannot feel any ill effects.

The shifters are new, as are all the cables & housings. Also new are the tires, brake pads and seatpost. Everything else, I had on hand. I retained the original:
Crankset
BB
Pedals
Cassette
Wheelset
Stem
Brakes
Derailleurs
Chain
Bar (chopped about 6cm off each end, to shorten it up)

More pics of it here:

Nice Trek frpax, bars stem too look good. Nice solid bike overall.
I have 2 Alu Treks, an old lugged steel Trek would be a good catch.

My new Waterford R33, new to me, that is.Dura-ace all around.

I'll be changing the stem and handlebars for a better fit.

Always wanted a Waterford, but could never justify the expense.
