Horray steel! Can I join?
1985 Trek 720, purchased in 1985 at age 14, restored twice:

2011 Dale Saso road frame, was time for a custom bike designed exactly for the roads I ride:
A blend of Columbus and Tange tubing. Llewellyn lugs.

I want my 2nd membership! I'm trying to decide whether I should switch these to bar end shifters. I am not a fan of Shimano STI shifting, but it is what I had on hand. This is a rain/long distance bike weighing in at 21 lbs as shown.

I love this bike! It's a Cysco, from Richie Moore at Cysco Cycles. You should look him up on the web if you are looking for a frame. We talked as he was driving back from the NAHBS. He got it exactly the way I told him I wanted it to feel. It is stiff and responsive but very comfortable. Richie is a really nice guy and does a great frame. I lke it so much better tan the Serotta it is replacing. Nothing against Serotta, though. They were great to me- I just like this better. It is Campy Chorus 11 with a compact crank. I have an Interlock Racing Design 12- 30 cassette which the Chorus RD handles just fine thank- you. The wheels are Boyd 53mm clinchers. Again, you sould really call Boyd before you get a more expensive wheel set. These are awesome. Tires are Conti GP4000's. Seat is Selle SMP Plus, Post is Thompson Elite Masterpiece set back. Pedals Time I click carbon. Stem and Handlebar are Deda Zero 100. Cages are Cuisse Elite. I love every bit of equipment on this bike- but I still may look for lower gear inches. See my signature. I am also thinking of doing some hilly century challenge type of stuff this year or next.

here is my new steel bike... made right here in New Zealand. So far it has exceeded all my expectations, riding smoother and yet more agile on our local hills

Its by Jeff Anderson, out of Rotorua. He goes by the name Jeffson. I'm live in Christchurch and so riding on our broken roads due to the earthquakes it can show up any handling traits quickly..... and so far I have been very happy.
Previous to this I was riding an 80's dutch steel bike (Cera) and tho I was comfortable it was time to create a more modern example

The last bike I raced was a Bianchi EL/OS, last in a long line of fine racing machines of the day, 85-92ish. I have the two shown above. Team Kelme TSX and the frameset which was the subject of an old thread "Now THIS is a frame!" or something like that which followed the auction of this rare Strada being sold in Europe, that I won. Funny thing is, I'd been following the auction for a couple of days before discovering that it had been outted on these forums in at thread that had a few thousand hits. One of these days I might actually build it up. In the first year I looked into doing so but had a hard time finding a new period correct headset in Campy Chorus or Record. I also have an expedition touring bike built in Reynolds 853, a Rocky Mountain Sherpa.

Yessssssssss!
I've kinda got a thing for steel bikes...

Trek 520

Unknown fixed gear

Gary Fisher Tasajara
(OK, not a road bike, but you don't see too many rigid fork steel bikes on the trail...)

Ciocc road bike

Trek Earl

One of my pride and joys.. 1990 Eddy Merckx Motorola Team bike.. Kept it mostly original in 7 speed Dura Ace, right before 8 speed brifters came out.. The Scott Bars and Stem were put on a year after I got it. This was Sean Yates bike and anyone venture to guess the seat tube angle?
