Ok, I'll join in. I sold my Titanium and carbon fiber bikes in 2008 because I prefer steel. Here is one of my steels, a late 90's Ciocc frame that I built up in 2004 with a Campy Veloce drive train. It only weighs 20 lbs. It puts the slightly lighter bikes to shame for me.

I'm in. Wow, are we steelers a dying breed? I think not. Steel. I love it.

Here is my Rossin Ghibli which I have just got back together. Obviously haven't tried to keep it original, just used a mix of what I liked and what happened to be in my spare parts. Will try to get matching wheels on it sometime.

I want in, Sold my old battaglin from 1990 back in 07, figure Ti was the way to go, but has been itching for a steel ride since last year. Pick up the frame in june for a summer project.
I've been collecting some old d/a 8's for a built like this over the last year, finally got the chance to bring it all together.

slightly different look than last posted.... different tape, saddle and tires:

I'd like to get this frame repainted (correct restoration) and put a new group-set on it someday.

anyone mount any of these campy skeleton brake calipers on a steel frame?
I think the calipers look pretty snazzy, but not sure if they would work well with a traditional steel frame..
Are they really a huge braking performance enhancement over older campy dual pivots?

I have them, they work well. Had some 105 dual pivots before, can't say I notice a big difference really, they both work well. I think it really comes down to aesthetics and what you prefer.

Threw this bike together with a bunch of spare parts. Probably not going to stay with the North Road bars but get some drop bars.
I know nothing about this frame; somebody once said they thought it was a Gardin Shred, a time trial bike from the early 90's. It's a very nice frame with a very weird seat tube.

Stay tuned for my Pinarello and Colnago builds. Stretching the tubulars on the rims for the Pinarello now.

I've got an old Concorde w/ SRAM Rival on it. I need to post some pics of it w/ the new wheels...

1984 Pinarello Treviso

Nearly all Campagnolo Record of various vintages, Sunrace 7-speed freewheel, Fiamme rims on Record hubs, Challenge tubulars, Cinelli stem and bars. Just need some tyre glue and pedals.

I haven't had time to do the final tweaking on the bike and the tyres are just dry fitted and need gluing. Some pedals might be helpful, too. And the cables all need trimming.
