Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Wow what a transformation, bringing out the chrome lugs really complemented the translucent metallic paint scheme.

I have had several people ask about my Pelizzoli Corsa GP, so here are some pictures. It's old school Columbus SL steel by an old school master builder. Very fun to ride.

The rims are not NOS but they are not original. I wouldn't want to ride on 80-year-old wood rims.

Or Duplicolor engine block orange?

Rustoleum Hemi orange. It's a bit redder than Molteni orange, which is what I was hoping for. But hey, it only cost a few bucks and some elbow grease.

New handlebars and stems for both bikes:

120mm 1R stem, cinelli 66-44 bars

115mm 3ttt stem, 44cm 3ttt forma SL 'racing team service' bars

Oh and about the tires... I'm in a semi- unfortunate position where none of my tires match color-wise, but they're all very high quality tires that are in good condition. Kinda tempted to just keep using what I have until they wear out

Thanks! You're right, it really needs a silver seatpost.

My 85 Gios Torino Professional with full Campagnolo Record C and early Cinelli stem and bar.

I've had the Gios for over 25 years with 25k miles and still is the best handling road bike in my stable!

My 95 Cinelli Super Corsa with full Campagnolo Record Carbon Equip.

Just as the Gios a pleasure to ride.

My nearly steel bike I like as well as the Gios and Cinelli. 2005 LeMond Victoire Titanium with Campagnolo Record Carbon.

Thanks for looking
