Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Can't make it this year. Done the ride many, many times in my past. Flattest ride in the state. Have a great time! Time for a personal best time if the wind and weather cooperates. Go for it.

I am looking forward to the ride. The weather looks great - 0% chance of precipitation and 4 mph winds. I will be riding a celeste Bianchi with yellow tires; I'll look for your lowrider.

Cool, I thought I would find at least 1 other person doing the ride out of the 3000 or so that usually show up. I guess most of them just plain don't communicate on the forums.

I'll be poking around there in the morning up near the front of the pack before the start. Believe me, I'm easy to spot in a crowd. I've got the Chris@promocycle.net sticker on the Optima tailbox. Your bike might be hard to spot. Come say hi before the 7:30 start if you are around.
