Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Gotta have these. Sweet Mother of Merckx. Fittingly, they are not yet available. How perfect. The bling that even Santa can't bring.

Sweet Jebus. I do CAD rather well, and my CAD is actually *CAD*. Can you teach me to convince Wall Street types to pay me big money, Pcad?

AWESOME!!! Now with hard to replace straight-pull spokes!

Just because they don't have elbows doesn't mean they won't break.

He he. Not if you make money advertising everyone elses products like PCad does every single time he buys something. If you're not getting paid to advert for them, I would certainly start charging for it. More people buy more crap because he says he just bought it. Someone should be getting paid and it should not just be the manufacturer.

I said I like the wheels. I didn't say I'd buy them. I don't even know how much they cost. Once they're on the market, which they aren't.

Bah. Those are boring- I've been in races where nearly half the field's on ZIPP rims. Sooo common. What you need are these:
https://www.lewracing.com/wheels.html

Nothing says "exclusive" more than carbon spokes that require you to send the wheel back if a spoke breaks or the wheel comes out of true. Well, you're supposed to have your people send it back, it's not something that one does ones self.

I'll be the first to concede that I am the Head BF Moron in Charge. Still, even Pcad isn't stupid enough to blow that much cashish on Lew Racing crap. That would involve a DocRay level of imbecilia that exceeds even my capabilities. For all the BF crap I happily endure for buying bike schwag, I bought three major items this whole year, Zipps, a TT bike, and a PowerTap Zipp rear, all used, all on eBay. Price for this stuff new: about $8K. Price I paid: approx $4500. That's less than the cost one new high end road bike.

Don't be rubbing the BD MTB in my face, I only put a $108 deposit on that. You can bust my balls about that next year.

"In an effort to provide the highest quality product available we have decided to delay the release of the road wheels until the 2008 season."

Translation: Whoops! We borked the engineering and/or manufacturing and they'll collapse if you look at them funny. We're desperately trying to retool to avoid imminent bankruptcy.

I don't get it...no specs and crappy photos that look pretty much like Zipp 404's. What's the big deal?
