Helmet color

Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Helmet color

I need a new helmet. Is the cool thing to do to match your helmet to your bike color or just what ever you like?

Yellow .... always yellow.

It's bright, it's light, and it goes with everything.

Statistically white helmets edge out other colors in terms of safety, and it goes with everything. or match your shoes/bar tape/tires....

+1 for white. White's hot, and it's also safe.

White is our favorite: cooler in summer; more visible at dusk and even at night it will show up bettter under car/street lights. Goes with any other color.

I like white helmets, but must admit that I have a blue Ascent helmet which matches my bike. It was cheap and wasn't Bell or Giro which I have gotten tired of seeing. I like the Bell and Giro helmets, but wanted something different.

I have not bought a helmet in like 3-4 years. Matching a helmet to bike clothes is not that important, except many in my club wear a helmet to match our club's colors. Where ever they bought their red/ yellow helmet, they are no longer available. Red/yellow is what we wear. Helmets in that color are not too common.

I believe Botto just gave Machka his phone number.

In a few years we should have little *******s doing 600km brevets on their tricycles.

Excellent.

But they'd have serious inferiority complexes... That or be cocky to the point of putting their lives at risk.

Not sure I'd say yellow goes with everything though.

To the OP - match your club kit or pick the colour you think is pretty. If facing existential crisis, choose white or black.

That being said, my helmets are black.

i really only see 25. i can faintly see the 29, but thought it was 26...

to get back on topic, i used to have a black helmet. but after a summer or two, i vowed that my next would be a lighter color. now i have a white one, and don't plan on changing colors anytime soon.

I don't see anything here... Then again, I have not been able to get past page one and two of the coloblindness book my whole life. I wonder what everything "should" look like...

My helmet is black. My next helmet will be white.

I have a degree of red/green colorblindness, myself. I've learned the hard way not to mix colors and whites in the wash.
