Cycleops Fluid Possible Problem??

Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Cycleops Fluid Possible Problem??

I have a cycleops fluid trainer, had is set up in the basement worked great, moved it up to the main floor, and now the resistance is very strong. For example for keeping a cadence around 100 and heart rate at around 70% I would normally ride in my 42-15 for an hour with no problems. Now I am in my 42-26 and cannot keep cadence above 80 and my heart rate is through the roof. I feels like i am riding in sand. Anyone else have this problem? I cannot find any support on Cycleops page, and I could not find anything on the searches I did here.

*Yes there is a tension dial on the side on this model and I have tried moving that around. It simply makes it worse.

This is a Cycleops Fluid Plus

Temp is the same in both rooms, talked to Saris, they had no suggestions other than sending it in and paying for a new resistance unit, so that may be my only option....

Meh?!

'Sorry, we don't warranty the parts that break.'

Something doesn't sound right. I'd suggest calling back during normal business hours and ask to talk to a manager or sup. I got a new resistance unit when mine started making a clicking noise. On another trainer I got a replacement when it developed a leak. They have replaced 1000's of resistance units over the years with a wide range of issues.
