Powertap question

Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Just the total power...

There's really no way to gauge each leg with a hub...

The SRM does each leg...

Your thinking of Ergomo, which does only the right leg. SRM does not measure each leg.

i thought that a hub could measure roughly each leg's output since with the cadence feature it could tell which leg was pushing down... well, really i was [I]hoping[I] that it could

You can get a good idea of individual leg relative power with a PT or SRM with one-legged drills.

I would think the SRM and PT could measure individual leg power with better software. The cadence sensor on the NDS could tell you that the current power is from the right leg. 1/2 phase out, the power reading would be for the left leg.

Man, I need a Quarq so I can implement some of the software ideas I have for the open source world. Ugh. Sometimes I just wish I could spend my money.
