Your Christmas Present Plans?

Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Your Christmas Present Plans?

This Christmas is going to be a greedy one for me.
I am spending much of my money on myself.

So heres my plan on how to spend my money:
$400 - wheelset for myself
$250 - fork for myself
$300 - stem+bar combo (probably fsa plasma) for myself
$50 - brother
$50 - mother
$50 - father

maybe my parents will cover the fork
what are you guys expecting/getting?

Brother and Sister each getting a bottle of aged Grappa.

cotton swabs with wooden sticks for the wife. Impossible to get in local stores. She has been complaining about not having them for so long, when she could have ordered them over the Internet, that it finally sunk through my thick skull that that must be one of the things she wanted me to get for her.

I am donating money to a charity that helps sick kids. We had a child pass away years ago in a children hospital and it's something I feel I must do.

Still, I am a greedy little shwag monster as I bought my wife an iPhone, which she has been lusting after, so I can justify the tt build I haven't told her about. Yet.

Please give a review of the FCC PBO's if you get them. I have the Stealth PBO's and am thinking about getting a set of the FCC or FCT's.

I am fixing up a vintage Raleigh Sports 3 speed for my lady friend. It's gonna be sweet.

I bought an Ultegra 10 crankset for myself, and will probably be picking up some DA 10 downtube shifters tomorrow.

I picked up an Fizik Arione in red to match my black/red Orbea Onix. Also, some new PI shorts for the new year.

Oh, and some other stuff for the family.

I bought myself a bike ($2200 Look 555 with Easton Orion II), a trainer ($1200 Tacx fortius with the steering thingy), and I know I'll pick up a Wii within the next month or so. Yes, I'm a greedy *******. I'm still at a loss on what to get the wife - girls think differently! It would be so easy if she was into gadgets and bikes. Sigh....I will continue to think.

My oldest boy (16 years old) is getting a very nice Japanese Gibson SG copy guitar. It is sitting in my closet right now. (I'm hoping that now he will keep his hands off of my 1950's vintage Gibson! I was going to give him that guitar if he learned to play the violin.)

My younger boy (12 years old) is getting Adobe Flash and an external hard drive among other things.

My wife is getting some books on CD that she wants as well as carte blanche for buying pottery on our trip to the US Southwest (leaving Christmas Day and gone for over a week).

I am getting my usual Christmas stuff: bills to pay! And it doesn't bother me one bit.

let's see...Christmas this year is expensive for me....

I'm contemplating getting the $400 group buy wheelset...not sure yet
My mother and I are giving my father $260 worth of cigars
No clue what to get my mother
Giving my bro a Papelbon replica jersey
Giving his wife some Red Sox schwag
Clothes for some of my friends

I know I'm getting a set of Look Keo Carbons ($115 thanks to PBK)
Like I said, I'm still not sure if I want to pull the trigger on the wheelset. I'd also have to get some tires and glue/cement to adhere them with, so it'll end up being well over $500 for that.
Oh, and I might be getting some Zipp schwag. It'd be rather amusing to see me wearing a Zipp jersey and be riding on Bonty Race Lites

Working in a bike shop, no one will get me any bike related gifts, because I can always get it cheaper. Sucks.

Well, since my fiancée and I decided not to exchange gifts this year my baby (Tarmac) will have a new set of Mavic ES wheels under the tree. She may also get a new stem to spruce her up for the New Year.

I'm not getting anything for myself this holiday period. All my cash (and a lot of my next couple of paychecks) are all going to pay for an engagement ring for my lady.

Once that's all done and taken care of, then I'm considering a set of Zipps and to start saving up for a time trial bike. Of course that will be spring time, so not really a Christmas gift. Maybe I'll luck out and my woman will get me some bike stuff this year.
