Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

2 Baselayers, 2 pairs of Specialized BG anatomical socks (interested to how different they feel/act), 8 panel Pearl Shorts (sorry, didn't want to ask the wife for Assos prices). The anatomical socks certainly seem different - extra padding under the ball of foot, plus sculptured to fit left/right arches.

I'm getting some new bottle cages for the group buy RT700, an underarmour baselayer, and hopefully some other stuff.
I ordered the RT700 for myself.

I picked up the front end of a largely unused Concept 2 rower in a yard sale this summer. My Xmas present is the back end, but it won't get here for a few days.

having seen a few of your posts over the last few months, i think you need a bigger garage first to store all your new cycling toys first :-).

Oooh, and I have it on good authority that the cat is getting me a new laptop battery.

In my family, the cats have always been famous for knowing exactly what we all actually want for Christmas and birthdays!

Nada, zippo, zilch. I've spent so much money on bike stuff, mostly not for me btw, that I'm done for the year.

Just saw this thread, after I made my own. Doh!

2 Cannondale jerseys and a Blackburn Delphi 5.0 with cadence and HRM. I'm planning on getting in on the BD group buy too.

For the most part, my family listened. Remasters of some oldies but goodies:

Rush, Moving Pictures
Yes, Extended Versions
Yes, 90125
U2, The Joshua Tree

I made some MAJOR bicycle-related purchases this year. I needed absolutely nothing cycling-related.
