Thule 916 T2 Rack Anyone Using This?
thinking about to buy a new rack and the thule 916 t2 looks and sounds good to me. hitch mount and no wheels off or frame contact to the bike. bike actually held in place through tire contact only. seems like it would preserve a bike well. any experience with and/or comments would be appreciated. thanks.

Best Rack you can buy. I have traveled 30000 miles with mine and never a scratch on my bikes. Buy it here and get free shipping and a great price https://www.jensonusa.com/store/produ...e+Carrier.aspx

I had this rack for a while. Its a very nice rack but there are some things you should know.
1 - The rack is HEAVY. If you plan to take it off and on the vehicle, you'll get tired of lugging it around quickly.
2 - Apparently Thule has changed the hitch pin design some and the new racks arent as stable as the old racks, which is a shame. The one I had, you could jump up and down on and it wouldnt budge in any direction.
3 - The front wheel mechanism has to sit against the brake caliper so you'll end up having to recenter the caliper every time you transport the bike. No big deal but a PITA.
4 - Depending on the vehicle you put this rack on, you may have to cut down the wheel trays to get the rack to fold up.
Personally, I would take a look at the Saris CycleOn. It's lighter, holds the bikes better but isn't quite as sturdy from a "Im going to jump up and down on you" standpoint.. from a bike transporting standpoint, its more than adequate.
