Landis to be " advisor" for Rock Racing

Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Landis to be " advisor" for Rock Racing

https://boulderreport.bicycling.com/2...hanges-ro.html

Botero
Hamilton
Landis

“Floyd’s a good friend and we’ve had a lot of conversations,” said Ball. “Nothing’s been solidified, but we’ve talked about this since last year. I can’t really speak to that right now, but we’ll see what happens.” Landis was included in a recent e-mail to Rock riders and staff about an upcoming training camp in Malibu. I have not yet contacted Landis directly to confirm Ball's comments.

super team..

'No no, you're doing it wrong! You have to dry them off before slapping the testosterone patch on!'

(sorry, a totally predictable comment)

I always want to support a cycling team, especially one that has it's roots in America.....but I'm not sure this team is going to draw positive attention to the sport. I'm not saying anybody involved with the team has doped or hasn't, but it seems more and more that several associates have had issues with this in the past.

A reporter could make a living following this team alone. David Walsh can't be far behind.

Velonews named Landis its "North Amercan Rider of the Year" in 2006 (after the TDF debacle). He's the Barry Bonds of Cycling.

He will be responsible in doping management division. there has to be an expert in these teams especially with how to avoid the morzine challenge!

Curious - Hamilton isn't listed here in Velonew's list of US based UCI teams (Botero is though):
https://www.velonews.com/news/fea/13868.0.html

The list was up to date enough that Andreu isn't listed as the DS.

Is it just me or didn't Tony Cruz go to Toyota United? I coulda sworn that I saw that somewhere.

TOTALLY. I've been talking back and forth with them trying to find out when they will make their jersey available to the public. I'm not a big pro jersey wearing kind of guy, in fact the only pro jersey I have is a sleeveless CSC that I got for 20 bucks off of Steep and Cheap. But this jersey is pretty darn cool looking and I'm gonna get one.
