What's the difference between 2006 and current wheels?
We have also upgraded hubs (for all carbon wheels except the Attack) to the DT Swiss 240s featuring the unique ratchet system of the legendary Hügi 240. Each hub is hand assembled and individually tested. The new Attack wheelset will be equipped with KT hubs.
They also claim that therewas a change in manufacturing to make a "more consistent finish look" and a layup change to make the wheel stronger.
I just picked up a used pair of the DV46's off of ebay that will be here tomorrow and while I wished that they had the DT Swiss hubs, sadly they don't. Not too big of a deal since everyone still swears by the older ones that have them

My mistake. I guess I just figured that since he picked up a used set, he got a pre 2008 set. I couldn't tell from the photo, they all look the same to me.

I do not believe they are DT. Supposedly Hadley. I wouldn't know how to tell the difference and I'm sure these will be fine for my purposes and the amount of money I was willing to pay...

I am unsure about yours UMD, however I emailed the product manager at Reynolds and they confirmed that they use a "modified" DT240 hubs on their factory MV and DV lineup.

2. As far as I've been able to glean from other threads, the only modification is coloration.

I have actually heard alot of bad things about zipp hubs. A few people I know who run zipp rims have relaced them with king hubs.
I just picked up a pair of bontrager aeolus w/ dt hubs...haven't ridden them yet, but I am looking foward to them. Good luck with the renylods. I've heard they are extremely rigid

I got the DV46 set delivered yesterday and rode them this morning. Very nice wheels; about the same feel as my R-SYS for climbing (i.e. light and stiff), the flats were easily 1-2 mph faster than usual, and the descents were simply amazing. I took 2-3 minutes off my hilly 22 mile ride PR. Can't wait to use them in a crit on Saturday

the new all carbon Zipp clinchers give you a clincher option.

little person, big wheels
I think this is the proper thread to ask this; certainly it's the same question I have.
I am dead set on getting deep carbon tubulars for racing crits & road races. The concern I have is how deep to go in the rear. I'm very slightly built, 5'10" and 127 lbs. It seems like the options are either ~60mm deep or ~80mm deep. I'm almost certainly going with the 60mm front. Does anyone similarly small have strong feels or reasons against going as deep at 80mm? I've spoken directly with Zipp & HED, and they say I'll be fine, but then 808s/S9s are more expensive than 404s and S6s, so there could be ulterior motives.
FWIW, I'm an experienced racer (cat-1) with average handling abilities for my level, neither the best nor worst. I am slated to do a lot of technical crits this year, so I'll be doing lots of fast cornering on these wheels. Crosswinds are not super prevalent inmy area, but I will be doing races in the spring in the midwest, where I grew up and remember well how windy it can get there.

check out the offerings at planet x usa. They are surprisingly cheap, and reviews look good so far.

"Roll away, roll away the stone." Resurrect umd.
Wow! It's been years since I've thought of those lyrics. Leon Russell and another song by Mott the Hoople with a similar line. Jeez. I mean, Jeebus.
Oh, I've got Assaults, and although I like them, they're grabby (self modulating) on descents. What goes up must come down.
