thoughts on super six???
any thought's on the supersix? anyone own or ridden one?
|
Haven't ridden one, but the tubes are HUGE on that bike. I mean wow. Looks cool though.

Love mine. Take one out for a ride.

I've ridden one for a day, stiff (though at 145 I'm not putting too much stress on a frame) and light w/ good handling. Personally though I liked the System Six just as much, personally aside from the weight and bling factor I would go with the System Six.

I've test ridden the Super Six...took it out for only about an hour though....It's nice and smooth. However, I didn't feel like it was much too different from my System Six....There's wasn't a real "WOW" moment like I had with System Six when I took it out for the first time vs. a Six 13. I'm 5-7, 130, so I'm sure I didn't "power-out" the bike and flex it like mad. Overall, it was very nice, rode very smoothly and stiffly, but to me, it's definitely not worth the price difference from a System Six because I felt as though it rode very similarly... The beast looks sick though...I think I'm gonna wait a couple years for that guy to be more within my price range...

thanks for the replys, i just ordered a supersix 3 although even when it arrives it can't be ridden with the current weather conditions. i am glad to hear others with some actual seat time where pleased with it though.

I can't wait until mine arrives at my LBS from Cannondale! I happen to love the tubing on it. Pencil thin seat stays and massive tubes are super cool! Style points aside, comfort and performance is tough to beat.

I love the looks of the super six, especially in the all white paint job :D. If only I owned one :(

I just remembered I had a link to another pic of a white super six :D http://img130.imageshack.us/img130/6603/hpim0333gk5.jpg |
I like mine a lot, though it's only got a seatpost and crank installed thus far. It sure looks nice, though.
In all seriousness, I was pleasantly surprised by the ride of the bike when I was able to demo one. All the usual superlatives apply-I would definitely suggest taking one for an extended test ride if your shop will allow or if the demo van comes to your town. |

maybe he just bought the frameset and built it up himself, that's proly what I would do

I was able to get the white frame offered on the ultimate built out with the Supersix 3 kit. The only thing that looks different here is the saddle, seatpost and tires. Seeing this makes my wait nearly unbearable. |
I spent yesterday afternoon test riding the SystemSix, '07 Six13, Synapse SL and SuperSix. I'm 5'10" 147lbs. The supersix rocked and was by far my favorite, but it was a bit out of my price range. I'm sure this will sound like just about every other review out there, but I found that it was nearly as explosive as the systemsix but rode smoother. It was also noticeably lighter, but that was mostly due to the way the bikes were spec'd.
