Finally getting a road bike
Have not determined the actual bike yet, but I have the correct mindset for it. Woo Hoo.
Then again, you guys must read tons of these threads each year about this (heck, I think that I have created one or two in the past).

Lots of choices out there, that was the hardest part for me. The best piece of advice you are going to get from anyone here is have a fitting for whatever bike you buy. I learned from experience, a professional fitting for your bike makes the world of difference when it comes to comfort and possibly avoiding injury.
And remember no new bike post on here is complete without pics

If you've asked once or twice before, you've asked too many times.
Bottom line: buy as much as you are comfortable buying. Don't go into debt for the new bike. If it requires saving for a long period of time, buy something cheap and save your pennies for your dream bike. I did just that and am looking forward to receiving my new steed and posting pictures of it.
Hopefully you have bike shops around you. Kick lots of tires and ask lots of questions. There is no perfect bike, just the best bike for you. Do your homework and you'll have it.
