Stomach Turning Article (Doping)

Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Athletes of all stripes, rappers, now pee-wee dads. Six years wasn't enough.

Regardless, there's no dispute among the three principals on this: 12-year-old Corey was placed on a heavy-duty regimen of HgH and steroids.

Richard Sandrak aka 'Little Hercules'. His dad was feeding him steroids when he was about 6 or 7(?).

There was a documentary on him. Sad.

Terrible parents indeed, but are they any worse than the ones that feed their kids McDonalds everyday and let them play video games and watch tv all day long?

Kind of where I was trying to go. How about the parents that expose their children to the bowells of the drug world, prostitute themselves or , god forbid, the children themselves. Which kid feels better? The one who found out his dad gave him HGH to be better than everyone else in the world, or the one that sold his kid's body for drug money - ending up with HIV or AIDS.

Seriously. Anything on ESPN is a thinly veiled privledged society joke at best.

That is an excellent point.

Its easy to point the finger at the guy in the article and hate him.

But just take a stroll through your local WalMart (you don't have to buy anything)....look at the parents and the kids...you will see kids age 12 that are pushing morbidly obese territory.

It makes me want to slap the crap out of the parents, but I don't really feel its my place to tell them how to parent (even though I do feel some kind of obligation to tell them what they are doing to their kids).

My parents never stressed exercise, but they didn't need to, since I was an athletic kid all through my youth. They also *never* bought soda, ice cream, potato chips, or any of the other crap that most American families keep by the palette these days.
