Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Actually, don't get too worked up over it. Those Zipps are OEM parts for recumbent nowadays. The helmet mirror too comes stock on that gentleman's Ionos. Thats why it cost roughly 50 bucks more that the Atmos.

I can't imagine watching a recumbent race. It'd be like a bunch of '77 Cadillac Deville's racing around Monaco driven by un-coordinated, clumsy 50 year-olds.

Yes, but the Caddy's win! Honestly, I don't see why you guys get so jealous. We're faster than you AND your paceline of 5. Get over it.

I'm sure the mirror cancels out any aerodynamic advantage.

That's not valid argument.

Most of us don't care that recumbents are faster by design.

I'll wager that, after I lose to a 'bent rider, if I hop on a 'bent and race again Mr. "We're Faster Than You!" 'bent rider will be eating my dust.

And on a related note, why do 'bent riders still where biking shorts? They don't need the chamois.
