Does the roadcycling forum need another thread about Vegan saddles??

Notices
Road Cycling It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle. -- Ernest Hemingway

Just my two cents but why do the mods keep locking the vegan saddle threads.

I find this dis-heartning especially after the mod agrees with one persons stand on the issue and locks the thread.

I could really care less if there are vegan saddles or not, I just think if people don't like a thread why can't they just ignore it.

... and just think: in some parts of the world, people eat rats, dogs, cats ... and, it's not because that's all there is to eat

Yes, ALL the threads on BF should be about vegan saddles...

In all seriousness I respect your decision to become vegan but don't need to hear about it on several threads in the same night. There are enough synthetic saddle choices out there for you to pick from, I would suggest you do so and leave it alone.

edit: Have I just fed a troll?

What about all the dinosaur bones burned to produce the electricity to produce vegan saddles?
Don't dinosaurs count for anything anymore?

I'm not vegan, though I tried being vegetarian for a while, but I can't see what everyone has against people who are...

It's their life, let them eat what they want. It's a heck of a lot better than a big chunk of americans who eat at mickey d's and burger king. If it works for them, why take a personal offense to it? I like eating meat, but I have nothing against those who don't care for it. If people start calling me an animal murderer etc, then I'd be pissed and take a personal offense to it. I haven't seen that happen here yet so what's the problem...

Synthetic saddles exist. Get one of them. Ask an lbs for ones that aren't made of leather or animal products.

/End thread...

If God didn't want me to eat animals, why did he make them out of meat?

Maybe because saddles don't eat and thus can't be vegan.

I'm confused. Why would anyone want to eat a saddle?

My saddle doesn't eat animal products- does that make it vegan?
