Pcad the Abominable Snowman

Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Hey, at least I got up Mt. Doom here before it really started sticking. It's much more gnarly when you get back to the 15%+ grades with an inch + of snow on the road surface. I can't help my Shakira hips boys, but it drives the women wild. Oh yes.

Tights. Never. I've been dressing for cold weather riding this way for 15 years. It works.

What was it like when you started? How far into your ride were you when the snow started falling?

It was cloudy, 30º, didn't start snowing until about 15 mins. from the end of the ride (I was out for about 2 hours, 33 miles). Wasn't really all that bad. Makes for a nice BF snapshot however.

I bet I ride more between Jan. 1 and March 30th than you do all summer you friggin SW Wussy. Have you ever actually ridden in temps below 50ºF?

Actually I look dry because I had that Don't Flatten Me Yellow shell on. I do have to work on hydrating. I really don't get thirsty on a 33 mile spin ride in 30ºF temps.

Yeah Ok pcaddy. Its 25 degrees out right now. We had a month of it just getting over 40 for a high, teens for a low(some single days) and I put in more miles last year than you did.

Not impressive here in the flyover states. Call me back when your feet go through the snow on every pedal stroke.

More self promotion without any real perspective.

Race one season in Europe, starting your program in Feb and let us know. Do a few races in S.America or Africa - remember to take some real pics this time.

...or ride for a living as a messenger in Feb.

What's your point? What makes you think I owe it to you or anyone else here to have one? That's not only presumptuous, it's laughable. In which case this thread has achieved something.
