Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

road "toruing" pack questions

so i am likely going to go on several 5 day trips and such this summer and was wondering how i pack the tent and such onto the bike, will it be able to fit into panniers or do i just put it on the back rack which would that fit along with my trunk bag that i am likely to getand also is there any recomendation for a 1 person tent i could buy(somewhat cheap). I am new when it comes to this so any advice would be greatly appreciated

Some people in this forum travel so light they don't even carry saddle bags, much less tents.

The touring forum is the best place to ask this question
