It Never Gets Easier, You Just Get Dorkier

Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

I may be in the minority here, but somehow between the funky bars and that glasses/helmet combo the top picture is Dorkier than the recumbent pic.

I picture him jumping in on a group ride with an adjustable stem set to "fully erect".

I do believe the point of this is that everyone looks like a dork on a bike.

Which I have to agree. No one looks good to a bystander except BMX riders and maybe the occasional rogue mountain biker. How many roadies are picking up chicks while they are in their spandex?

None. I bet even Lance had to lose the spandex to nab Sheryl.

The scary part is that I'll bet fat/out of shape Lemond would still crush every weenie on this board.

Don't worry about the UCI weight limit either, I think Greg's safe with that ride.

Agreed. As a rider, Lemond will always be one of my favorites, but his mid 80's to early 90's look was just awful, maybe because he was on the "bleeding" edge of technology. Then again, every look was pretty awful back then.

I had a signed poster of him when I was little. Him or lance I can't remember. I feel sick just thinking about how the barney sticker I put on it wrecked it. :-(
