Trainers
The weather has been bad and I have not ridden as much as I wanted this winter. I'm thinking about buying a trainer for next winter. What types are there? What should I look for in one? and how much should a decent one cost? steingang2@verizon.net

Just call me Chris
Kurt Kinetic Road Machine. None better unless you step up to Computrainer, et al. $300.

Fluid ones are quietist. Searching "Kurt Kinetic" & "1Up" on these forums will show these are well regarded. May or may not want to get a dedicated trainer tire; search Continental Hometrainer and search Tacx trainer tire to read the pros and cons of trainer tires.
edit: You also might consider rollers.
