New team bike/wheels

Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

New team bike/wheels

Just got my new team frame in and I built it up last night. Specs:

'08 Bianchi 928 T-Cube 63cm(approx 1262g with hanger & seatcollar)
Full DA with 180mm cranks
Zero G brakes
FSA OS115 130mm with FSA Energy alum bars(sprinter setup)
Ritchey WCS carbon seatpost with Specialized Toupe
Speedplay X2's(too heavy for X1's)
Zipp cages
Currently with borrowed 404s, I have new 808 tubies in the mail

Barloworld picked this bike over their top-of-the-line 928 SL for the classics, citing the T-cube's stiffer BB. I haven't ridden it yet since it's been raining nonstop, so I can't vouch for the stiffness as of yet...supposed to be absurdly stiff. 15.6lbs as built, not too shabby for a 63cm bike(I could probably get it under 15.5 if I cut some seatpost & steerer tube excess).

Hey, at least Lanier's filling up.

Looks great, in any case (and don't forget to take the "coming soon" off your sig!).

How do the 180s work out for you in crits?

I borrowed a buddy's bike with 177.5's and nearly died trying to corner like I do on my 172.5s

Beautiful bike for sure. You'll like the Zipps too.

How do the 180s work out for you in crits?
It can get a little dicey, I often have to lean the body over a little extra to compensate and pedal a little later out of a corner, but that's only in really really hard corners. Unless the corners are wide open, I'll probably be riding the E5 in crits anyways...though they have 180s too

your saddle looks to be tilted down?
I just adjusted it, thanks for the heads up

That bike is hot. Good job getting it in at just over 15 lbs. I've got everything sitting here for my new bike, just waiting on the frame. Custom Casati, 62cm with a 60.5cm top tube. It'll be Deda alum. and built up with Chorus and Campy Eurus wheels. I was just hoping to be under 17.99999 lbs. I'm 6'-4", 200 lbs. How tall are you?

6'6", 205lbs, longer legs than torso. Makes frame sizing easy, I just get the biggest of what they've got and work around that
