Yawning on a group ride?
 

What are the rules about this?

I did on a couple of ocassions. Mainly just cuz it was early in the morning and I had little sleep. It had nothing to do with not working hard enough. :)

good point. If you know the route, you can make any group ride as hard as you want.

I'd be careful because you could end up having a bird fly into your mouth and then you'd look really silly.

It's better than farting

I do it occasionally. Yawning is badass.

It's best to yawn right after you win the townline sprint.

If you do it in front of the right person, that person will get angry and up the pace.

One sign of nervousness is to get tired. I used to yawn all the time at the start line. Now I don't get nervous so I rarely yawn unless I'm actually tired.

Meh...I've yawned on many a early morning club ride. No biggie. It takes me a good hour or two to feel fully awake anyway...so yawning is not uncommon for me on a ride.

better to yawn then to close your eyes.

I, for one, think it is a shocking breach of etiquette. Barring a force majeure event as its cause, there should be some sort of penalty associated with such vile behaviour. The perpetrator should be disbarred immediately.

And it should never be spoken of again.

I sing sometimes when I'm not pulling. Mostly country, but on occasion 80s big hair rock ballads. I think it's the spandex that makes me sing those. I've also had the Fine Young Cannibals stuck in my head for a while, and that one came out today.

I sing too. Elmo's world, wonder pets, Sesame Street, etc...

When it's not that it's the classical piece they play during the Cinzano 100 in Breaking Away.
