Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Trek 2.3 Vs. Cervelo Soloist Team

Hi everybody,
I usually ask suggestions before buying a bike...
This time I' m about to buy an aluminium bike to use in training session and short and nervous competition. Truly I'm not a competitive minded cyclist, I just like ride bikes and take care of them.
Last week put my eyes on two bike and I'm asking the riders Who have eventually prove them which of they suggest: a cervelo soloist team ultegra equipped (at 2200€) or a trek 2.3 105 equipped (at 1600 €).
As the U.S. American friends can notice the prices of these bicycles are equal in Europe than in their country in absolute valour, maybe we've found an exception at the changes rules ?
Joking aside any suggestion is well accepted

Soloist Team, but only if you ride on smooth roads, or don't mind the vibration. It's a bit harsh, but damn it feels fast underneath you.

if you don't mind the bone rattling sound that those SOLOIST TEAMs do, its one of the best bike out there for the aluminum family aside from C'dale!

Soloist all the way. It is a little harsh on rough roads, but is so fast, stiff and responsive.

I noticed the reference to tri under our avatar. If you do tris and don't have a dedicated bike go for the soloist.

alea jacta est

that means "the dice is launched" , so ancients romans said.
I've made my choice and I order a soloist team.
Thanks for your suggestions .

Hi, I see that you ride a 2.3.
What do you think about it, which are your impressions?
I intended to use it in short triathlon (olympics and sprints), for the rest I use a Ridley Noah.
Please let me know.

I don't find it harsh at all....I used to have a carbon s-works roubaix so I know what smooth is.....The soloist doesn't vibrate, and damn is it fast......I love mine.
