Rubbing/ pain with cleats on.

Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Rubbing/ pain with cleats on.

greetings onew and all,

My query is that after about 60min of riding the balls of my feet start to burn/rub and i fear it may cause a blister after a longer period.
My cleats can be adjusted and they are right at the end of my foot (closest end to my toes) should i adjust the cleat so it is closer to the centre of my foot? or is thier another way to rectify this problem?

thanks in advance

Chances are, your cleats are too far forward. I cured my hotfoot by moving my cleats back ... pretty much as far back as they can go.

HOWEVER, if you make that adjustment, pay attention to any knee or ankle pain that you may get ... you may also need to make a few other little adjustments.

Another cheap option to try. Found some foam(do not use the gel ones) pads that go on your insoles in the forefoot area. I mounted them to the bottom of the removable insloe. $3 at DWS shoe store. Worked for me.
