Recall Information

Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

no, but...

Under certain conditions, the check valve on the PFP-2 could fail. If this occurs, the pump's handle could quickly rise upward without warning, potentially causing injury to the user.

Easy to check. Needs to be a late 2005 bike, skewer rod is silver. They seemed to catch it pretty quick. We never saw any at our shop.

I looked into the AC hub recall because I bought a set of wheels off scambay and wanted to be sure. Guess how many hubs "failed" to force the recall? Exactly one.

The Time RXS recall is for 2004-2006 models. I don't know if performance was still selling those models recently or just trying to warn buyers from the past.

Regardless, read this to spot the bad ones:

The Performance list is incomplete and out-of-date.

For a much better list, go to the CPSC web site: https://www.cpsc.gov/cgi-bin/prod.aspx
Scroll down to "bicycles & accessories" and click the "find" button.
