Rollers - belt hits floor

Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Rollers - belt hits floor

Is it normal for the belt that connects the front drum to the middle drum to start wacking the floor when you gain some speed?

No problems with my rollers. Worked great for over a 500 miles so far.

If your talking about a carpeted floor that does happen. If your talking about a hard floor look to see if you have adjustments on your roller's 6 small feet that contact the floor.

I've had rollers on a carpeted floor for over a dozen years and the belt has never hit. Is this a new set of rollers/belt? If not, did it always hit? Sounds to me as though the belt's stretched.

Or the front roller is to far back.

Is the belt in it's little groove at each roller?

with my old bike I never had this, but when I got my new it had a shorter wheel base (by one notch on the roller frame) and now I do get a lot more movement from the belt

Check to see if the belt is twisted. If you have rolled it into place on the pulleys, it may have a twist in it, which won't roll out on its own, and can set up a vibration. I had a similar issue until I carefully untwisted the belt.
