But I love my Ksyrium

Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

But I love my Ksyrium

So I've caught the WW bug. I just got a set of 07 Ksyrium ES, because I like the way it looks and am very satified with how my previous Ksyrium SSC held up(many pot holes, bumps and a screw through the rim).

But you know, it's a little heavy. I was thinking about selling it, and getting a pair of Soul S 2.0. almost 200g lighter. I would keep my old wheels(SSC) as backup.

Someone please talk me out of it.

If it won't make you late on your rent, then do it. Why not?

Oh, I mean don't do it.

You will notice absolutely no difference except what is in your head, unless maybe they are more aero.

If you're cool with that, do it.

Don't factor in the weight. You could skip a lunch and drop that much weight off of your ride.

Hello. This kind of reasoning makes no sense/does not apply to a weight weenie. Save your [interwebs] breath.

The power of red spoke compels you.
The power of red spoke compels you.

Don't do it. Besides, Angel (Zorrov999) recently purchased some red spokes as well. His Tarmac is looking very sharp. When you join the usual suspects on a NorCal BF.net group ride it will make for a great pic.

oh well, if half of NorCal's doing it, I dont' want to be left out. Thanks to all that replied. I believe the only reasonable action to take now is to have BOTH wheelsets.

I ride Zipp , Reynolds, and Mavic Es. . I recently sold the Zipps and The reynolds I am selling. I am keeping the Mavic Es. When riding they feel great and are confidence inspiring. I do not feel the need for the others unless I were racing full time.

With the Reynolds my biked weighs 14.76. with the mavics It's about 15.5 . the difference is in the water bottle. simply fill it half way and you will be fine.

The advertised weights of the Soul 2.0 wheels were 100g+ lighter than the actual weight according to some initial deliveries I've read about on this forum.
