I dont mind the snow/cold... I get to ski longer. Spring will come eventually. |
Sunny and 67F today in San Jose, California. Chance of rain on Friday.

What cancelled cycling season? I haven't stopped all winter in Ottawa. 23c all the way! Mind you, there were a few days last week that I decided to stay home and shovel all day :(

This has been the longest winter I can ever remember. Truly and veritably, it has sucked. But I don't mind cold down to -5 degrees. Nah, it's the snow on the roads that has screwed things up. I've got 800 kms under my belt so far this year, but couldn't ride for four weeks out of the last two and a half months because of the snow on the roads.
Snow on roads is bad. |

AT 11:34 AM EDT MONDAY 10 MARCH 2008. WARNINGS FOR CYCLISTS IN ONTARIO & QUEBEC... :p The March sunshine is already beginning to take its toll on the snow. Won't be long that the nay-sayers will be put back in their place and we'll be running on our summer bike set-ups. I already hear my two bikes wanting out in the backyard shed. :D Ron |

Is this for real. Can Canada tell its residents when they are allowed to ride a bike? I'll add that to the reasons why I would never move to Canada.
|
|
you sure that wasn't a warning to motorists who don't know how to drive in snow? :D

Sorry but I have heard so many stupid things going on up there that nothing surprises me. This doesn't make me stupid for believing it. It just means that maybe the OP's joke should be more over the top for others to know it was a joke.

I once told an American we live in igloos and ride our dogsled to work. She took very seriously and said it was awesome.

Just another reason I love living in northern California...current conditions: 74 degrees, clear skies, calm winds.
I've already logged well over 1000 miles for the year...Life is Good on the Best Coast. |

Env Canada is more of a government dept for environment/weather research and related things. It's not really/doesn't have the power of a "citizen controlling agency". |

That you actually think this is real is just sad!
