Specialized SL2 Raw Frame question?

Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Specialized SL2 Raw Frame question?

I've made the decision to build out a 2008 SL2 with Campy Record. Now I get to pick the frame color. I've taken a look at the Raw frame color and wonder how hard it is to keep that frame looking good since it appears to have no clear coat. How do you clean it? Thanks for any input from anyone who has that color.

Surly you can just wipe it off. I'd go with a pearl white color though. Of course, I would also put DA on it.

It actually is clear-coated. You can use any type of detailing spray to keep it clean and new looking.

I was one at the Tour of California. It looked like it would not be any more difficult to keep clean than a painted bike.

I dont see that you have posted since. Im curious which color you ended up with? Here is my 2009 SL2 in raw and I now wish I would have waited for the white. But thats just my opinion.
