7410 vs 6620

Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

7410 vs 6620

I'm not 100% sure my pedals are 7410s, that's why I've included a picture of one. Can someone please confirm this? These are what's on the road bike I just bought. I was riding PD-540 MTB pedals. I'm wondering if the new Shimano 6620s are going to be considerable easier to clip into or if I need to suck it up & learn to better use the old Dura Ace pedals. I don't think there's much difference in weight.

My MTB pedals are easy to clip into, I don't even have to think about it. I seem to have to roll the tiny Dura Ace pedals over & catch them perfect to get in. I sometimes seem to spend a half a block trying to clip in. I would rather be focused on the tarmac & traffic around me, rather than worrying about clipping in. I've only ridden the bike a couple times, but will soon be in heavy traffic doing longer rides.

Are the new Ultegra pedals going to make it easier for me to learn to effortlessly clip in?

It does say Dur-Ace obviously but I thought the 7410's had a black plastic/carbon piece on the back. The 6610's or 6620's will be much easier to clip into though.

Yes, those look like Shimano PD-7410 Dura Ace pedals. Using clipless pedals are like riding a bike; once you get the hang of it, the action is fairly natural. Having said that, a dual-sided pedal is easier to clip in.
