Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Scott CR1 Pictures

Well everyone seems to enjoy pictures, so I've decided to post mine. Here is the bike I purchased about 6 months ago on sale at the LBS. Specs include, Scott CR1 (58cm) Team frame with Dura Ace components, Ultegra 6601Crank, FSA K-Wing Bars, Time Stem, Ritchey Pro Carbon Seatpost with Selle Italia Flight Saddle, and Mavic ES Wheels with Michelen Pro2 Tires.

Using my home scale, it weighs a very unofficial 16.4 lbs. I still need to switch out the silver spacers to black or carbon and maybe a different seatpost/saddle, but other than that I am thrilled with my bike!

Regards,

Mike

I just realized, that many folks on the site are able to post MUCH larger pictures than I was allowed. Any secrets, does a paid subscription supporting the site give you this ability, or am I just missing something?

Thanks again,

Mike

I was talking to the LBS where I bought my cannondale, and they used to be a scott dealer. They tried selling a CR1 on ebay for 2K and no one bit! It was brand new with 105 and they just couldn't get it to move.

I can't understand why since they seem like sweet rides and people seem to love em!

Gorgeous. Essentially the same color scheme as my lowly S50, but that's like comparing a Lamborghini-yellow Honda (yes, my town has one) to a yellow Lamborghini. We do, however, have the same pedals, which I am sure is the only thing that we share. Nice bike!
