If you don't mind wearing Hammer Nutrition advertising, then you can get Voler bibs for less than $50. Since more cyclists are becoming aware of this great value they have been frequently out of stock since I have started monitoring a year ago when I found out about it. Keep looking at the website and grab them when they are available.
http://www.hammernutrition.com/za/HN...YCLING,Cycling The new ones have a redesigned pad, Voler's top of the line Ion SL. Enjoy. Get a sleeveless jersey to match. http://www1.istockphoto.com/file_thu...old_star_2.jpg |

Hammer's voler bibs, I think they are $30?

I just picked up some PI Octane bibs. List price $229.99. I got them for $114.99 at the PI outlet in Dillon, CO. Has anyone ridden these?

+1 on Voler. I've used their basic bibs for a couple years and I recent bought two of the elite bibs. Definitely worth the extra cash. I've also tried Santini bibs, which are my most expensive yet least comfortable.

The Hammer/Voler bobs are a great value for the price, but a great bib they are not.
+1 to all of the "Assos will outlast" comments. I kind of "save" mine, but they still look brand new. I still go through 2-4 bibs a year of other brands. I use 2 Hammer Voler bibs for commuting. Only 50 miles RT so not serious enough saddle time to cause any issues - otherwise I would switch. FWIW - if I had to do it over I would not get the Mille insert. Too thick for my tastes. |
Your thread title ftw.
