Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

no two ways, she DEFINITELY was....

i`d just climbed up 8kms of serious hill, crested the top, zipped up my jersey for the descent, went round a corner and there to the right was a mountain path, and about 15 feet along said path i spotted a 60ish year old woman crouching, holding a piece of white paper, wearing some odd pink shorts that seemed to fit VERY tightly down to her hiking socks....

then i realised...

in a very sudden....

horrific...

burnt-upon-retina-forever moment...

that she was definitely...

Wiping Her Arse.

the odd pink shorts weren`t shorts.

no.

they were legs.

topped by arse.

the worst bit - if it could get worse - was that the word `NOOOOOO!` emanated from my mouth, a guttural, primeval reaction, which, as i rounded the next bend, was met by the stares of a man (i presume husband) and a younger woman (daughter?), who MUST have known what i was crying out against. the woman`s shame has now become Family Shame.

the whole thing just wasn`t right...

why on the open path? there were thousands of trees to choose to go behind... thousands... and why THAT look on her face, like a frightened dog?

distressing.

no other word for it...

well i do believe that technically if you`re mid-wipe then you`re still actually doing your number two, i think it`d be considered one continuous action... anyone know for sure? can we get a ruling on that one? (or should i say `on that two`?)

and what does Potd mean?

Bikes: One brand-less build-up, and a Connondale Synapse Carbon Ultegra Disc. A nicer bike than I need, but it was a good deal, so... ;-)

I think part of the problem is that there were less conspicuous places to choose. To hear the OP tell it, it sounds like this woman chose to go just off the side of the road he was on.

Defecation in the semi open is not as earth-shattering, to me, I suppose; a woman's gotta do what a woman's gotta do. Half of you have smelled your significant others' poo and may have even seen remnants in the loo, but you still tapped that ass.

But yes, carry on with the .. repulsion.
