Wiiliam Cycling 50C..trigger pulled!

Notices
Road Cycling “It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate remembrance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle.” -- Ernest Hemingway

Wiiliam Cycling 50C..trigger pulled!

So I went and did it. I pulled down on a set of the WIlliams full carbon 50C clincher wheels.
I'll post a ride report once they get here...they shipped today...I'm like a junkie, waiting for a fix.

So you know, Captain Tallywacker, the Neuvation C50 all carbon clinchers use the same hoop as the Williams and arguably better spokes. I got the Williams because they actually look good, come stock with $150 worth of ceramic bearings and were cheaper than the Neuvations to begin with.

I have some wheels with no neuvation stickers on them that I'll charge you an extra $500 for!

Hahaha.

Interesting

*raises eyebrow*

After poking around their website I'm tempted to purchase a set of the Wheel System 50. At $769 they sound like quite the deal.

I have been eyeing those for over a month now... I just cant decide between the Williams, the Souls, or just biting the bullet and paying for some Reynolds DV46c's. What I do not like about the Williams is the gloss finish.. I know that is lame.. but whatever. Please post some pics and a ride report once they arrive.

You know i just went to the Neuvation site for the first time in a while and I think their carbon 50 Clinchers are better looking than the Williams.. did someone say they are the same rim? one is matte and the other glossy.
PCadd is your hate for all Neuvations or just their lower end stuff?

I get that.. but I do not want tubulars.. ride in Hawaii for 10 mins and you will understand why.. this state does not own a single street sweeper... so if I want the aero advantage of a 50mm rim in clincher.. quite honestly the Zipps are behind the power curve. The all carbon Williams/Souls/Neuvations are significantly lighter. I guess the Reynolds are the top of the line in this area, but I can not find them in stock and they are twice as expensive.

The Neuvation/Williams/Token 50mm all carbon clinchers all use the same Gigantex hoop. It comes in matte, shiny or marbled. To be honest, I did a side by side comparo between the Token and Williams...they look remarkably alike. I'm sure they are all getting turned out by the same Taiwanese factory.

Oh, and I'm sorry to insult your delicate nature PCad. I should have called you 'Colonel Tallywacker'

It says the weight limit for the Williams wheels is 200lbs. You are getting close to that, Damo1. No?
