Brake pivot..

I noticed today that Campy brakes do not have a pivot on them like Shimano brakes. I usually loosen the pivot on the Shimano brakes to take the front wheel off but now on my Campy brakes I just push the wheel through the brakes, am I doing it right?

Campagnolo has a brake release on the shifters: see page 14: Manual

Forcing them is not the right thing to do.

I am a Shimano user but here is my understanding from what I have seen people doing. Campy don't have a cam type quick release on the calipers but a quick release mech built into the lever. On Veloce I think I remember a pin on the inside of the lever. You pull the brake lever a little then press in then pin, when you release the lever it allows the calipers to open wider than normal.

Hope that helps

(edit cuski beat me to it but his link isn't working for me)

Thanks I will try it out

yep its a small silver aluminum bit on the inside of the lever near the top, it makes for easy wheel changes...

I am about to try it out, do I have to hold the lever then push the bolt?

okay that was easy...

Thanks for the help!
