specialized Roubaix question
 

I am looking for a new bike i have it narrowed to Bianchi 928 C2C and the Specialized Roubiax. I want to know what is the difference between the S-Works Roubaix SL and the the regular Roubaix beside the price. I want to go with either SRAM Red or Force. Any pros and cons on either bike or group is welcomed
I have heard though the Bianchi is a little slow but more comfort in the saddle and the Specialized is fast and comfortable?

I have an '07 S-Works Roubaix SL with Dura-Ace. The main difference between the S-Works Roubaix and the Roubaix Pro and Expert is that the S-Works has the FACT 10r carbon frame while the Pro and Expert models have the FACT 8r Carbon frame. They look the same, but it's my understanding the the S-Works frame is made with a higher grade of carbon and is lighter. The Roubaix Elite has the earlier '06 carbon frame. Sorry I can't answer your question regarding the SRAM components and I've never ridden the Bianchi.

For what it's worth, I love my Roubaix. It's fast and very comfortable. I'm 46 with flexibility and lower back pain issues so comfort is my primary concern. I've never had a moment of buyer's remorse.

It's not even funny how much better the Roubaix rides than the C2C. The C2C is lifeless in comparison to the quick and lievely Roubaix. There's a good reason the Roubaix is known as the king in this "comfort/performance" category.

Force is a great choice for the Roubaix. It's smooth and light, and not as expensive as Red so you can save some $$ there.

Are you just buying the frame or is your shop doing a component swap? I'm not aware of a Roubaix that comes with Force and only the top of the line Sworks model comes with Red. My brother who works at a Specialized concept store told me that once a Specialized's crank has been installed in a frame nothing else is compatible because of a special insert for the BB. So if you were hoping to have a SRAM crank just get the frame, or if you want a complete bike the expert model since it comes with a Rival drive train.
