Fuji Roubaix RC or Pedal Force RS2
 

Currently I have a Roubiax RC with carbon stays, with full Dura Ace, CSC Zipp Clinchers. Total bike weight is around 17.45 pounds.

I can afford an Pedal Force RS2 and can get my hands on one soon.

Is this this weight loss that much of a performance gain?

I think after selling my current frame, that my investment would be around $300.

Worth the $$ ??

How is changing a frame going to drop 3.2 pounds unless you are moving from steel to carbon?

You will probably be very dissapointed if you think that just by switching the frame you are going to get to 14.25 pounds. It's going to be very hard to do with the clinchers.

If I misunderstood then I apologize. However, getting to 14.25 pounds is not easy or cheap (trust me).

As for being worth it, if you can drop over three pounds for $300 then I say yes, it is definitely worth it.

I weighed in at the shop this week for the current weight.
I forgot to say that I have ordered much lighter handlebars as well.
I really dont know what my frame weight is now, but I was comparing the supposed weight of the RS2 plus the supposed factory weight of my current gear.
Just ignore the posted weights. I know you will never really know till it is all together.
Is their a big difference in the feel of a lighter carbon frame and an aluminum frame??

Yea your bike is what put me down this road.
I picked up a bare frame of what you have and was blown away.
All of my other parts are pretty low weight and I thought this would pull it altogether.

I am not a weight weenie, but would like better feel when climbing, etc.

Too many variables to compute.....rake, trail ,wheelbase, standover, stiffness, deflection, carbon layup....

so all I can say is this - 453.6 grams per pound. You need to drop 1451.5 grams. That is probably the same weight or more as your current Roubaix RC frame.

Unfortunately since none of us have ridden the RS2 yet, its tough to say how it is to remotely give an impression compared to a carbon-stayed aluminum frame.

Yea, that is why I am saying to ignore the weights. I should not have tried to estimate the difference.
