a buddy had one of bordman's lotus frames but got rid of it before ever building it up. Someone at cervelo found out he had it and wanted it so much they sent him a new 08 DA P3C in trade.

The thing weighed a ton.

Mostly collectors items now... I believe almost every one of their frames was eventually ruled non-conforming but governing bodies.

They aren't related to the car company are they? I've heard the Chapman had Lotus doing design work for lots of stuff, but not much in the way of details.

Seriously cool bikes.

There was one on eBay.co.uk not too long ago.

i have one and its completely upgraded to better parts. its really fast compared to alot of new bikes, and its tighter wheelbase but not compact frame makes it have really nice handling around corners.

Lotus also made regular bikes. We sold them at the bike shop in the early 80's. Decent, mid-priced 10-speeds at the time.

that is a sweet bike!
